In August of 2015, Shakira used her social media platforms this time to promote a new initiative and ask her fans to sign a petition called #UpForSchool that would go to leaders and policymakers of the world
“For the 59 million children around the world who will never see a single day of school because of child labor, early marriage, conflict and discrimination.”
