There are mixed views about being a changemaker. Some of us may think of volunteering or dedicating some of our time to a cause a few times a month.
You may help plan an event, help by sharing a post on social media, or donate to a friend’s project. But, what about those who dedicate their lives and their whole career to being an advocate for a cause? Let me introduce you to the Social Entrepreneurs.
New media and the Internet have become the most important platforms Social Entrepreneurs. Most of these platforms are used by entrepreneurs to broadcast their own content, raise funds through crowd funding and promote their cause in various social media accounts.
As I was browsing and reading about social entrepreneurship on ashoka.com, there was a phrase that caught my attention:
“Leading social entrepreneurs are mass recruiters of local changemakers— role models proving that citizens who channel their ideas into action can do almost anything.”
That’s right! we can do almost anything if we put our ideas to work for us!
As I get fired-up with The Social Side, I think about the time that I became a social entrepreneur. When you know that you have a voice, when you have so many questions and you know that there are hidden corners of society, you can’t help but explore them. It’s our social responsibility.
Here is a part of the article:

Social entrepreneurs are individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems. They are ambitious and persistent, tackling major social issues and offering new ideas for wide-scale change.
